My Design Choice Reflection

What inspired you to choose the specific design elements and layout for your blog?
I found a blog online called “Star Wars News” that I was immediately drawn to because of the design and formatting. For my Blog Post website, I wanted something simple and easy to navigate and find each blog post. The Star Wars Website did just that by having each post in a clickable box that would then open the page/ actual blog post. I really like that simple idea and will be doing the same for my website. I am also inspired by the placement of titles, paragraphs, and pictures from the Star Wars Website. The Star Wars Website is my inspiration for my own website.
How do you envision your blog’s visual aesthetics contributing to the overall user experience and engagement?
My blog’s visual aesthetic will be simple yet visually appealing in a way. I will use simple colors matching a Star Wars Color scheme such as Black(The background), Grey, White, and either Red or Blue. The black background would help as it’s not as straining on the eyes as a white background would be. The way the blog will be formatted will make it very easy to find any blog post, as well as going into the full post itself. The visually appealing part will be the use of pictures in each blog post and blog post box. (The boxes can also be referred to as the cover for the individual blog posts).
In what ways does the chosen design align with the content and theme of your blog, and how might it enhance or complement the message you want to convey to your audience?
The design is similar to a blog post style, consisting of images and paragraphs. The theme of my blog is Star Wars, which is represented in a few ways such as the background being space with stars (If possible) and the colors being the color scheme of star wars. I will also use fonts similar to fonts used in Star Wars shows. The choice of making the blog website simple and easy to navigate may convey to my audience the importance of simplicity and organization in design.
